Two of them will give you information who cares but one will give you a free [X-Potion]. Then head back up and make your way to the cafeteria.
There is another faculty member along the way that you are going to have to push out of the way. He only throws a Bomb at you though so it is a trivial fight.
One of the SeeD members in the cafeteria will give you [Gysahl Greens] if you talk to her. The next stop is over at the dormitory. Nearly all of the upcoming monsters and fights have some weakness to fire. Take the elevator down to the MD level and as you do it will get stuck along the way.
Examine the buttons on the wall, and then examine the square panel on the ground to begin your descent. First of all you'll notice everyone's going nuts at the Garden. Everyone is searching for Cid, and nobody tells you why.

I just replayed the game for the umpteenth time a lil bit ago and it blocked me for a minute, Possible I was zooming through dialog I didn't care about but It's the devil's corner that is! The square button or the X button can be used for talking.
I use the square button. User Info: Vilurum. For people who don't play cards, both the square button and the X button can be used identically for normal conversation. For people who do play cards, the square button will challenge them to cards and the X button will get their normal conversation.
In general, get in the habit of using the X button for normal talking since that will always get you normal conversation and the square button for trying to play cards since that will always get you a card game, provided the person plays cards at all. Kadowaki happens to play cards, so you'll get different dialogue with the two buttons. And if you can't spell "Vilurum", call me "Vil".
