Why does god let diseases happen

Evil was defeated on that first Easter, and one day it will be removed altogether. How do you fix a story that is broken? We all have our stories.

Some of them seem beyond fixing. The Christian faith says you fix a broken story by embedding it in a much bigger story in which good wins, and evil loses. One day there will be justice. One day all suffering will end. One day there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain and God will wipe away every tear from our eyes. This is an extraordinary description of the tenderness of God and of his plans to put right all the wrongs in this world.

God does not always offer us answers. In this life, we might never really understand why some things have happened. But God always offers us himself. Doing so will transform the way you grieve. God will use your suffering for good: God promises to use all your experiences good and bad to help you become more like His Son Romans — As you grow in your understanding of how wonderful Jesus is, this promise will become increasingly attractive and precious to you.

You no longer have to fear being judged by God Romans And no matter how intense and painful your grief becomes, you can always take solace in the fact that God has lovingly and generously addressed your most pressing need—your need for forgiveness.

You received the gift of eternal life: While we will all experience physical death, Jesus promised that those who believe in Him will never cease to exist. For you have inherited what Jesus calls eternal life John And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. Turning control of your life over to Jesus is only the first step in an exciting relationship with God. We encourage you to begin attending a GriefShare group; your GriefShare leader and the From Mourning to Joy exercises in your workbook will help guide you in your relationship with God.

The best way to do this is to become part of a church that will teach you and guide you in a growing relationship with Jesus. Be sure to tell your GriefShare leader about your decision to follow Christ. Email: Phone: International: GriefShare is a ministry of Church Initiative.

He had an epiphany then, he says, a startling realization that all he could do, all he could control, were his prayers. He knows that for many, the virus and the accompanying havoc across the globe will result in doubts. That's normal, he says. It's more about what someone does with those doubts. Suffering, he points out, has been experienced for centuries, by people of all faiths, as all religious texts document.

He might never get to, either. Why something is happening, and whether it's God's will, is a topic Thomas Jay Oord thinks about a lot. When will coronavirus end? What wartime and human kindness can tell us about what happens next. There are, he says, a lot of bad answers to that question. When he preaches, Oord explains that there are two types of evils: moral evils, such as murder, and natural evils, such as hurricanes, tornadoes or in this case, the coronavirus.
